2017 Recap: University of California, San Diego

UCSD had a event packed year from the fall to the spring. They began with a Lab Open House during which faculty members could recruit undergraduates in their research projects. There were also several mentoring related events in the fall, including a class advising event, a graduate student panel, and a networking coffee session with professors.

During the winter quarter, the group held a Social and another advising event regarding schedule building. This was followed with a resume building workshop for underclassmen to receive advice from upperclassmen.

The spring quarter featured UCSD’s annual Cognitive Science Conference, titled “Cognition at Work”. The conference included several workshops and lectures by guest speakers Nate Bolt and Don Norman. They year ended with a spring social and advising talk by Michael Allen, highlighting graduating seniors in Cognitive Science.
